Mouth-Watering Moist Cake

A piece of moist cake is chock-full of taste that you wouldn’t resist looking at and gobble it in an instant.

Although nowadays there are lots of food brands that advertise their ready-made moist cakes with TV commercials filled with cascades of chocolate-filling flowing from cakes, such products cause us frustration with every different package we buy. Because, none of them can be as moist as the special cakes our mothers bake for the neighbors to crown their afternoon tea.

There is an easy and fast recipe for this cake we called “arap kek” (Arab cake) in our childhood and carried them in our lunch packs to accompany the milk. The cake will successfully satisfy your chocolate cravings.

Ingredients

4 eggs

1 cup of sugar powder

175 grams of butter or margarine

2 packs of square dark chocolates (160 grams)

1 cup of flour

1/2 pack of baking soda

Whisk together the sugar and the eggs. Melt the butter and the chocolate in another pan and pour it to the mixture of sugar and eggs. Take one cup of mixture and save it for later. Add the flour and the baking soda into the mixture and pour it into the greased baking tray. Leave it to bake for 25-30 minutes in the oven which is pre-heated to 175 degrees.

Cut the cake immediately after removing from the oven and pour the sauce over it.  You’ll be proud of how “moist” the cake becomes with the immense chocolate aroma seeping into its pores.

Although it looks quite nice with no further decoration, if you want to boost its appearance and taste a bit more, vanilla ice cream, home-made apricot or strawberry-blackberry jam will do a good job for you.

But note that the first thing to boost the delicious aroma of the cake is the winsome smile on the faces of your beloved ones shining with the first moist bite…

Bon appétit and enjoy the taste of life!..
